Why Choose TCAP?

The Treasure Coast Autism Project (TCAP) is a private, non-for-profit school for students in grades kindergarten through high school. It is designed for students with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder that do not fit the mold for typical classroom settings or the typical autism unit. Students spend the majority of their day within the TCAP classroom setting but mainstream out for related arts, bible, lunch and recess regardless of academic capability. When students show an academic strength in a subject, they are given the opportunity to complete that subject period with their typically developing peers. Students also spend time each month within their community to assist in fostering social skills and vocational skills for the future.

Evidence-Based Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to facilitate the acquisition of skills and knowledge that align with standards that students need to learn.

Development of Critical Social Skills

Taught in real world settings with a focus on interests, timing, and attention to support the enhancement of effective communication and meaningful peer interaction.

Community Interaction

Students have monthly outings in the community with a focus on the fostering of social interaction and the acquisition of vocational skills.
